What Documents Do You Need?

To apply for your temporary Sri Lankan driving licence at the airport, you should bring:

Make sure your driving licence is valid and is a full driving licence. Learner or provisional licences are not accepted for this service.

How Does the Process Work?

1. Arrive in Sri Lanka — Complete your immigration procedures and collect your luggage at Bandaranaike International Airport.
2. Visit the Department of Motor Traffic Counter — Go to the DMT counter at the Arrival Walkway, next to SPAR.
